The Challenge

Manually tracking power prices resulted in delays in decision-making, limiting optimisation potential for energy exports. Mackay Sugar needed a seamless integration between its control systems and real-time AEMO pricing data.

Our Solution

Beetle Engineering & Automation developed and implemented a custom solution, which included:

✅ Custom Web Service & API: Automated the fetching and processing of AEMO pricing data.

✅ Edge Device Configuration: Programmed a Redlion Edge device to convert the data into PLC-readable tags.

✅ SCADA Integration: Created a dedicated SCADA page to display real-time and forecast pricing trends.
