Most CQ industrial sites run a mix of PLC and SCADA platforms. We work across Rockwell, Emerson, AVEVA, Ignition, and Beckhoff - the systems actually deployed across mining, sugar, manufacturing and utilities operations in the region.
Rockwell Automation
Beetle Engineering programs, commissions, upgrades and supports Rockwell Automation PLC and SCADA systems across mining, sugar, manufacturing and utilities operations in Central Queensland. ControlLogix and CompactLogix are the dominant platforms across Bowen Basin coal operations and we work on them regularly.
Emerson
Beetle Engineering programs, commissions and supports Emerson PACSystems PLC systems (previously branded as GE Automation) across water utilities, manufacturing, mining and food processing applications in Central Queensland. We work across the PACSystems range from legacy GE Series 90 hardware through to current RX3i and RX7i platforms using Proficy Machine Edition.
AVEVA
Beetle Engineering develops, migrates and supports the full range of AVEVA SCADA and HMI platforms across mining, water utilities, sugar and manufacturing operations across Queensland. This includes CitectSCADA, PlantSCADA, Wonderware InTouch, System Platform, AVEVA Edge, and Citect Anywhere — and legacy Wonderware and Citect installations that predate the AVEVA rebrand.
Ignition SCADA
Beetle Engineering develops, configures and supports Ignition SCADA systems for water utilities, manufacturing and industrial monitoring applications across Central Queensland. Ignition's web-based architecture and unlimited licensing model make it a strong fit for regional councils and distributed site operations.
Beckhoff TwinCAT
Beetle Engineering programs, commissions and supports Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC systems across manufacturing, food processing and materials handling applications in Central Queensland. TwinCAT's PC-based architecture and EtherCAT fieldbus make it a strong choice for high-speed and motion control applications.
Schneider Electric
Beetle Engineering programs, commissions and supports Schneider Electric PLC and control systems across mining, sugar, water utilities and industrial operations across Queensland and beyond. We work across the full Modicon range — M340, M580, and legacy Quantum and Momentum — using Control Expert (formerly Unity Pro) and Concept, and on SCADAPack RTUs with Telepace and ISaGRAF for water utility and remote telemetry applications.
Red Lion
Beetle Engineering configures and deploys Red Lion Controls hardware across industrial automation projects where protocol bridging, standalone HMI, or edge data logging is required. Red Lion devices have appeared across multiple Beetle projects as the practical solution for connecting equipment that would not otherwise communicate — serial to Ethernet, legacy field devices into modern PLCs, and standalone data capture where a full SCADA installation is not justified.
